There are a lot of RC toys to choose from. There are cars, motorcycles, ambulances, buses, police cars, fire trucks, cranes, regular trucks, monster trucks, off-road vehicles, airplanes, helicopters, boats, and loads of other types of such toys. You just have to gauge where the interest of your son is leaning towards because you might be giving him an toy that he may not want at all. Yes, he might play with it for a couple of minutes, or maybe hours, after which, he will just ignore it. If it will be an toy that really interests him, you may even find it beside him even when he sleeps.

Some RC toys that may interest your seven-year old kid are those which have other radio controlled moving parts, other than its wheels that would only go back and forth. One of these is the toy tracked crane which, not only moves back and forth, but also swings its upper body in a separate direction, make its boom move up or down, shorten or lengthen its boom cable which allows for the hook at the end to be lifted or lowered, and retract or extend the length of its boom, all these done via the same radio control transmitter that you use to make it move back and forth. Some models even have a scooping bucket at the end instead of the regular hook with the opening and shutting of which is also remotely controlled.

This is surely one RC toy that will make the eyes of your seven year old child open wide with delight. Another one of these toys that your child would definitely love are fire trucks that have rescue ladders that can be radio controlled to retract or extend at your desired length. Some have even included remote controls which would rotate the ladder and position it at a place you desire. Surely your seven-year old would love to assume the role of a fireman when he plays with this type of RC toy.

One of the things that surely delight a kid is an RC toy. In fact, even adults play with certain toys to amuse them. Once you have determined where the interest of your seven-year old son is leaning towards and you get the RC toy equivalent of a vehicle that is the subject of that interest, you would definitely see his eyes open wide and hear him squeal in delight.
