• Your value statement should be about RESULTS not activity. So, a statement like “business up 200%” is much more powerful than “more sales, better marketing, more appointments.”

• Your value statement should always be MEASURABLE. “revenue up 200%” is better than “more revenue.” And, “Revenue up $1M” most of the time is even better than “revenue up 200%.” If you are stating “revenue up 200%” then always help the prospect convert that to dollars and cents. He WILL respond more often and faster.

• Bracket your value.

• • Average– Start with an “average” result either across all of your clients, or “average” the result in different segments (even better).
  • Minimum–Then be prepared to talk about the minimum result you’ve ever delivered. Find the words that work the best here. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve had clients that fell flat on their face, but there were few of them, and it wasn’t due to anything I did. In most cases, they just couldn’t bring themselves to change, so they kept making the same mistakes. My usual statement is: “for those that get it, and DO follow through with what they learn, most will more than double their business.” So, find your minimum, and how you feel comfortable stating it.
  • Maximum-Now find the best results you’ve ever delivered. For my sales training, I usually say something like “my typical client doubles his business in 3-4 weeks, and I’ve even seen a couple jump up 10 times within a week. And most of my clients just keep multiplying their results over and over.

By bracketing your value, you have given a very clear value statement to your prospect. He can understand that working with you what the dollars and cents, or multiplier is for a typical prospect, and what the minimum and maximum is.

This approach will cause people to LEAP into your shopping card. Almost no one dares give a clear value statement, so you are WAY above your competition, and you have just removed any reason for that typical objection: “Gee this seems awfully expensive” or “I don’t have the money.”

What makes a children’s ministry so effective at fighting poverty and inequality in developing nations is an age-specific approach. There are a lot of RC toys to choose from. There are cars, motorcycles, ambulances, buses, police cars, fire trucks, cranes, regular trucks, monster trucks, off-road vehicles, airplanes, helicopters, boats, and loads of other types of such toys. Some have even included remote controls which would rotate the ladder and position it at a place you desire. Surely your seven-year old would love to assume the role of a fireman when he plays with this type of RC toy.

One of the things that surely delight a kid is an RC toy. In fact, even adults play with certain toys to amuse them. Once you have determined where the interest of your seven-year old son is leaning towards and you get the RC toy equivalent of a vehicle that is the subject of that interest, you would definitely see his eyes open wide and hear him squeal in delight.

There are times in our life, either at work or at home, personal or professional, when we just start to lose inspiration. The grind of it all, the constant challenge, can wear even the best of us down. It is hard to work at being successful, especially when we fail.

We often think of these great men for what they accomplished, but keep in mind that the only reason we know them as great men is because they stuck to it and accomplished what they sought out to do. It seems like every person’s dream in the world is to build a brand-new home, but most people don’t know where to start. They’ve read a few books, got some great ideas and know what their house is going to look like, but what’s the first step required for building a new home?

The first thing that you’re going to need to do and I recommend that you do this before purchasing any property is to go down to your local planning department which is usually located at City Hall. Some cities don’t have their own building departments and this might require you to go to the county building department.

If you’re having problems finding your building department, because you live in a small city or unincorporated area, contact the next largest city in your area that does have a building department and ask them if they can help you find your specific building department.

After you have found the building department, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go down there or call them to see if they can send you or give you any information about new home construction in their area.

It’s very important, that you explain your situation to them. You would like to know what’s required and how much it’s going to cost to build your home. Get as much information as you can from your local building departments as possible.

I feel that it’s always better to go down there and talked to the people that you will be dealing with. If these people are rude or don’t seem to be very helpful, you can plan on having problems when building your new home. Trust me on this one; I’ve been there more than once.

If you don’t feel comfortable with your local building department or planning department and you haven’t purchased any property, you might think twice about buying property in that area.

I don’t recommend contacting a local contractor or architect to get their opinion on the home building process in their area, because there probably going to be more interested in selling you the job, then telling you the truth.

Starting with the basics and the basics of home building start with your local building department.
