Each moment on your journey, you are presented with an opportunity to react differently when yet another someone or something in your life rubs you the wrong way, or you may find yourself wanting to walk away from a circumstance, but are not sure if that is the right thing to do. However, you may find yourself stuck in a rut that seems impossible from which to extricate yourself. You will, also, realize that as much as you are the root source behind the causes for your behaviors, you are also the originator for any changes that you need to make.

There is infinite freedom in your awareness. Rather than thinking that you are stuck in a repetitive cycle with no escape, you will begin to see how you play a role in creating your life. Whether you are aware of them or not, your behaviors and choices are yours to make. Your past and present no longer have to dictate your future when you choose to be aware in real time. You are then free to move beyond your old limits, make new choices, and take new actions. With awareness, you take a new path that moves you forward while paving the way for new experiences and new ways of being. It is through awareness that you can continue to consciously evolve.

Have you ever thought about it? I know you have, because if you are the sort of person who would read an article like this one you have asked yourself that very question or something like it?

How did they do it? What makes them different from you? Perhaps they’re not, perhaps they just work and invest using their own personal strengths and leave the stuff they don’t do so well at to someone else.

Ask Richard Branson how he got where he is today, and he will tell you straight out that he did nothing he wasn’t good at, he’s great at generating new ideas and coming up with new schemes to make money, but he’s not good at “all that financial stuff.”

I came across something the other day that filled in all the blanks for me, multitasking is great to a point, however there are some things that I just do not do well, and then I ran into an acquaintance at a seminar and she told me to go straight to a website and take the “Wealth Profile” test. When you play to your strengths and use your talents to create wealth and success you will succeed and you will be wealthy, it just follows. The trick is to allow those people who are better than you at the things you are weaker in to handle those things and get on with what you do best.

“How do I do that?” I was just getting to that, if you cannot afford to hire someone to help you, offer someone who compliments your weaknesses with their strengths a joint venture. Go into partnership with one or more people who together make up a winning team. All of you will benefit, all of you will end up wealthy and successful and for all of you it is a win-win as all of you a using your personal talents and skills and passions in a common purpose.

I have already formed a joint venture and already another person has asked me to joint venture with them, once you know your Wealth Profile you are able to tell others who have also taken the test, what your profile is and easily form new partnerships, joint ventures and work with passion and motivation.

Can you imagine only ever doing what makes you happy, only ever working with what you are passionate about? This is the direction my life is taking already.

Mentors, by definition, are positive people. They are willing to share their wisdom and experience to help others learn and grow. When you were young, I bet you looked to your parents and other adults for guidance and help in learning how to survive in the world. I know I did. We relied on these people to teach us what we needed to know to get through life.

Now, just like then, we all need others to teach us what we need to know to achieve personal and professional success. These people are our mentors.

The term “mentor” comes from The Odyssey. Odysseus entrusted the care of his son, Telemachus, to Mentor when he set out to fight the Trojan War. The best mentors will help you learn and grow by sharing their knowledge and wisdom with you. In this way, you can benefit from their experience without having to suffer the consequences of gaining that experience firsthand.

I have been fortunate to have had several mentors in my life and career. All of them shared several characteristics. They all…

3. Plan your defense. Perhaps your family and friends may question why you didn’t share your dream. You may want to tell them that you wanted to have it done before you told anyone, because it was a big goal. You wanted to see if you actually could accomplish it.
4. Remember: It’s your dream. Everyone may have their ideas about how you should live your life and what you should do with your life. But-this is the best part-everyone gets to choose what they want to do with their life.

So here is a success strategy. The next time someone tells you can’t pursue your dreams. Instead of the word “no” debilitating you, use it to empower you to achieve a whole new level of greatness you never dreamed possible.
