<p>As more and more people telecommute from home, and start creating  their online business, there is a growing health problem emerging. Finding oneself parked in front of a computer for several hours, in one&#8217;s pajamas (or less?), leads to a more sedimentary lifestyle. Less exercise which cause less caloric use, which yields to weight gain, and eventually to obesity. The medical profession lists multiple health  complications that have their roots in excessive weight gain.</p>
<p>The  internet user is now caught somewhere between that proverbial &#8220;rock and a  hard place.&#8221; You&#8217;re successfully building your internet business,  investing the time and mental energy, yet at the same time, your  physical health is suffering. One of the key causes for weight gain is  poor eating habits. You wind up snacking rather than properly eating,  and we all know what foods are high on the list for snacking. All that  stuff that tastes absolutely delicious and goes right to our bellies,  thighs, hips, etc.</p>
<p>Hunger is the monster that we need to tame. After all, we DO have to eat. Just as we have disciplined ourselves to follow successful work habits and schedules, we also need to reinforce  healthy eating and wellness habits.</p>
<p>Here are some useful tips,  that can get you through those hunger/snacking cravings, and not make  you feel as if you&#8217;ve suddenly become an ever-starving rabbit.</p>
<ol>
<li>Before beginning your day, eat a protein rich breakfast. This can be two  eggs, prepared to your liking or a grilled cheese sandwich, Even a  bagel with peanut butter works. You do, however, want to keep the carbs  down as low as possible as the body will store the unused carb energy as  fat, unless you plan on exercising, right after eating.</li>
<li>Keep a litre bottle of cold water or better still: CLUB SODA, nearby. Drinking  the water will fill you up. Carbonated water, fills you up even more.  This does two positive things for you. It first will stave off your  hunger, plus, it will help you take in the required amount of water a  person needs each day.</li>
<li>Fruit is excellent snack food. Cut up a  cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew or pineapple, and nosh on that. If  you&#8217;re not handy with food preparation, most supermarkets do sell these  fruits already cut up and ready to eat. These snacks are very low in  calories, very delicious, will satisfy your sweet tooth craving, and  help keep the hungry snack monster at bay.</li>
<li>Remember to set aside time AWAY from your computer to be active in something. Scheduling a 20 minute walk is excellent. On a beautiful day, it is also very self  therapeutic to get out of the house and enjoy the sun and world around  you. Other types of mini-exercises can include doing some abdominal flexing while sitting at your computer. However, nothing beats getting  up and DOING some form of activity for about 20 minutes.</li>
</ol>
<p>Of course, if you have any specific medical issues, it is important to  check with your doctor before beginning any particular exercise or health regimen. Consulting with a dietitian is also a good idea, if you  have a medical condition such as Diabetes.</p>
<p>Being financially  independent and healthy is something we all want. Make sure we look  after our physical and mental wellness, too, so we can fully enjoy the  fruits of our endeavors.</p>

<p>If you are dedicated to becoming as fit and healthy as possible, then educating yourself around healthy food vs unhealthy food is a pre requisite to success.</p>
<p>Healthy food vs unhealthy food is more than just reading the label. In order to make significant positive differences to our Diet, body-shape and overall health, we must carefully plan a Diet which includes a full spectrum of <a id="KonaLink0" href="http://goarticles.com/article/The-Truth-About-Healthy-Food-Vs-Unhealthy-Food/3600001/#" rel="nofollow">healthy Fat</a>, Protein, Carbohydrate, Fiber, Vitamins and Minerals,.</p>
<p>The food choices that we make on a day to day basis will ultimately direct our overall health and sense of well being.</p>
<p>Categorizing food as healthy or unhealthy can be trickier than you think.</p>
<p>Follow this general overview of the healthy food vs unhealthy food debate:</p>
<p>First lets start with the obvious. Any of the following food types are good for us in the respect of them containing good quality nutrition, low fat and are all natural food sources: Vegetables of all types, Poultry, Red Meat (in moderation), Dairy (in moderation) Seeds, Fruit and Nuts.</p>
<p>Evidently, it goes without saying that there will be many other foods not listed in the above categories. Also, depending on your Fitness goals, this would also affect what could rightfully be considered helpful towards you attaining your desired outcome. A Bodybuilder for example will require a great amount of Protein in comparison to a sedentary person.</p>
<p>The fact is though, that every single one of the above mentioned food types is a healthy option no matter who you are or whatever your Fitness goals. Make sure to consume each and every one of these on a regular basis.</p>
<p>In order to look at both sides of the coin, its also key to become educated around what foods to avoid if at all possible. <p>The obvious candidates are fried food, anything with high levels of fat and if course junk food. Less conspicuously unhealthy &#8211; but bad for you in large quantities nonetheless is surprisingly for many, Fruits, Smoothies of all denominations and Fruit Juices. Although they all contain healthy vitamins, the large amounts of natural sugars which they contain means that they should only ever be consumed first thing in the morning an a completely empty stomach.</p>
<p>Now that you have some idea of which foods are healthy and which are not, how do you ensure that you are consuming more healthy food vs unhealthy food on a regular basis?</p>
<p>In order to reap the benefits of healthy Diet ad exercise regime consistency is your secret weapon. The real results will not come overnight. Instead they will be increased in a compound fashion over a long term basis. The opposite is true for those who continue to eat an unhealthy Diet for many years also. That is the reason why long term junk food addicts or people who consume Diets high in sugar run the risk of developing sugar Diabetes.</p>

<p><strong>Yes!</strong> &#8211; how well do you communicate? Are you able to persuade people to do what you want them to do. Do you have the integrity that will attract people and win their trust?</p>
<p><strong>HEALTHY</strong> is a great acronym too. Health is your greatest wealth? Are you taking good care of your health? Do you eat well, rest well and exercise well to stay healthy and fit?</p>
<p><strong>Ethical</strong> &#8211; Are you doing the right things? To be healthy you must do the right things to ensure your body stay healthy and fit. Doing the right things will also ensure peace of mind which is an important factor for achieving good health.</p>
<p><strong>Action</strong> &#8211; nothing happens without action. Have you put your thoughts into action. The greatest intention is of no value if it is not put into action.</p>
<p><strong>Love</strong> &#8211; it is the most powerful force on earth. It is the law of attraction because when you are a loving and caring person you will attract good people into your life. The universal forces will come and help you achieve your dreams too!</p>
<p><strong>Think</strong> &#8211; as a man thinketh so is he! You are what you think. Be careful of the thoughts that are running through your mind, are they negative or positive? With positive thoughts will come positive results and with negative thoughts will come negative results!</p>
<p><strong>Happiness</strong> &#8211; everyone wants to be happy. Do you know what are the things that will make you happy? Do you know what are the things that will make people happy? We are all basically the same!</p>
<p><strong>YOU</strong> &#8211; Yes Opportunities Unlimited. You can achieve whatever you want in life if you truly believe in it and have the burning desire to achieve it. Napoleon Hill popular quotation: &#8220;Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve!&#8221; It all depends on you!</p>
<p><strong>WEALTHY</strong> is a great acronym for Wisdom, Enterprising, Alliances, Leverage, Teamwork, Holistic and Yardstick. Do you have the wisdom to do the right things? Are you enterprising enough to think out of the box and take calculated risk? Do you know how to win co-operation through strategic alliances? Are you leveraging your time and effort? Do you have a strong team? Is your approach holistic? Are you living a balanced and successful lifestyle? What is your yardstick for success?</p>

<p>Below are 10 tips that will help you on your way to clear, beautiful skin.</p>
<p>1. Your outside appearance reflects what&#8217;s on your inside. Maintain a healthy and balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and sunflower seeds.</p>
<p>2. Try and drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. This will help to keep your skin moist, refreshed and supple, which will help the skin fight off developing wrinkles and blemishes.</p>
<p>3. Moisturize! Applying moisturizer after a warm face wash or a warm shower is the best remedies for skin. Moisturizing helps to restore the oils that our skin has and helps to keep the skin hydrated. Moisturizing for men is just as important as the oils in men&#8217;s skin can be lost more easily than those in women.</p>

Our voices are healing instruments that resonate within and outside us. A voice in song surrounds others and gives them and the singer a sense of wholeness, joy and well being.</p>
<p>Today, we seldom use our voices in this way. Our lives are taken over with listening to other voices, the voice on the television, the computer game, the iPhone, CD&#8217;s and the radio. The power of our voices is becoming lost to us.</p>
<p><strong>Singing out loud</strong></p>
<p>When did you last sing with joy, from your heart, out loud? As youngsters, it&#8217;s something we do all the time and this progresses into our teenage years as we discover the joy of music be it rap, pop, rock, soul, chants, reggae, gospel, country, heavy metal or just humming to ourselves. Do you remember sitting in your first car with the music blaring out as you sang along with that elation only the young seem to have?</p>
<p><strong>Can&#8217;t sing, won&#8217;t sing</strong></p>
<p>Many of us are told that we just can&#8217;t sing and that thought is implanted in our heads from an early age but when we are alone in the car, do we care? Not if it makes us feel good and using our voices in song does exactly that. Making music from our voices is a natural gift we all have no matter if we can hold a tune or not.</p>
<p><strong>Delivering a powerful Mantra</strong></p>
<p>Music comes in all guises and one of the most powerful forms of vocal music lies in the mantra. You don&#8217;t have to have a great voice to deliver a powerful mantra.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve probably heard mantras in church or in a yoga class but have you ever stopped to hear those that are intended to rouse your senses? It&#8217;s as though energy lives in the sounds and through repetition, the sounds gather power and impart an inner belief and intention to you, the listener, that helps you transcend the now and experience your own spirituality.</p>
<p><strong>Lokah Samasta</strong></p>
<p>In this way mantras and chants can change sadness into happiness, fear into bravery and deliver strength to the weak. <p>Try it for yourself. Just sit quietly and use the chant &#8216;Om&#8217; as you breathe out. Feel the word vibrate on your lips. Let the sound play out as long as you can before drawing your next breath. Repeat it for a while. Feels good doesn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>This chant is considered one of the most sacred sounds in the world. If we believe that the earth is made up of vibrations caused by energy and that we translate these vibrations as sounds, then this sound could be the sound of existence.</p>
<p>Connecting through sound energy</p>
<p>There are many mantras and chants and they are used for many different reasons but the overall reason we are so responsive to songs and music from artists like Deva Premal Miten, is that we recognise, and connect through, that energy.</p>

We all have heard how bad processed foods, sugars and chemicals are to the health and well-being of a person. These foods are noted to be responsible for our declining health. For the first time in history the younger generation will experience a decline in age longevity. They are expected to live ten years less than current life expectancies. This is all attributed to the sedentary lifestyle the Western world has become accustomed too. The good news is there are foods and activities that can reverse this trend. This article will discuss the issues and then proceed into ways on how to improve. Let us first talk about health issues.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;"><strong>Contributing factors</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">We have arrived at this point in time by partaking in processed foods, sugars, chemicals, sugar substitutes and lack of physical activity. These factors are directly responsible for how we have arrived at this point in history. There is little education in the schools and at home to correct these fatal mistakes.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">According to Dr. Jonathan V. Wright M.D.,&#8221;<em>Pioneering A New Kind of Medicine&#8221;</em><strong><em>,</em></strong>October 19, 2010. He states, &#8220;Sugar isn&#8217;t just sweet for us &#8211; germs love it too. The sugar in your body sends out chemical signals that draw them like moths to a flame. By reading the &#8220;sugar code&#8221; on your cell walls, these pathogens target cells all over your body&#8221;.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">Lack of physical exercise has also had a large impact on our health. Twenty or thirty years ago children would ride their bikes after school, shoot baskets, play in parks etc. Today&#8217;s society is tied to a desk and computer or TV. This gives the body little chance to burn off sugars, detox or recover from the day. This is not only the younger society that is suffering from lack of physical activity. It is also the adult generation who has become use to this lifestyle.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;"><strong>Correcting The Past With These Secret Foods</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">Here are a few food tips to health and well-being. All sugar is not bad for you. Natural sugar sources are not only needed for healthy brain activity, but also needed as an energy resource. Low sugar is just as bad as high sugar. Too much sugar and a body will store it as fat. Too little sugar and the body become sluggish, brain activity slows and eventually a person may go into a coma.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">An old secret food that can be used not only as a health sugar alternative, but also as a way to improve the health is cranberries. This fruit provides antioxidants, natural sugars and germ fighting properties to the body. You can eat this fruit as a dessert or as a snack. Another excellent fruit is blueberries. Both these berries contain chains of sugars which are easy for the body to breakdown and use as an energy resource. Whole natural juices are not the same as eating fruit. Get the best benefits by buying them fresh from the market.</p>

<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">So, I have put together 5 Simple Strategies for helping you to live a longer, happier, and healthier life.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">1. <strong>Get Social!</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">Get out there and have some fun with other people! You do not want to live your life sitting inside watching TV alone! How can that lead to a happy and healthy life? It is important to find people you enjoy to be around.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">Go have a BBQ. Meet people in your community through activities at your local community center. You can also interact with others, have fun, and help your community by volunteering!</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">2. <strong>Laugh multiple times a day!</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">What makes you laugh? When was the last time you found yourself really enjoying the activity you were engaged in? What were you doing? Did the time just fly by? Learn what makes you happy and what you enjoy and do it often!</p>

Do you have some great friends and family? Do you have a beloved pet or comfortable home or job? Do you have air conditioning during this hot summer season? What have you been blessed with?</p>

It was at that moment that I truly felt blessed despite the disaster. I have a wonderful husband, family, friends, and a ton of support! You don&#8217;t have to go through losing all your belongings! Look around you today and find what you are truly blessed with!</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">4. <strong>Take up some hobbies!</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">What do you enjoy doing? Do you like putting things together? Working on your car? Scrapbooking? Sports? What hobbies do you have that contribute to your happiness? Find time to engage in these activities often!</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">5. <strong>Get active!</strong></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal;">What activities that get you up and moving do you enjoy? Do you like to go hiking, play tennis, walk your dog, play with your kids, or go exploring? What activities do you enjoy that will help you increase your physical activity level?</p>
