Laugh Your Way to Happiness

If there is one thing that always holds true, it has to be this – happiness is for all who strive to be happy – and for those people who laugh often; they are usually happy.
Everyone is eligible to be happy: you, me, and everybody else living in the four corners of the globe. There are no strict rules, no guidelines, to follow to be happy or better still, to achieve happiness. Happiness is a state of mind. And, and if you aren’t familiar with it’s power, the mind controls everything.
The effort one has to put forth to become happy, doesn’t have to begin with laughter, it can be achieved with just a simple smile.
So let me ask you a question, do you ever laugh? Do you ever smile?
I mean, do you ever laugh out loud – spontaneously – just to laugh? Or have you ever laughed, to the point, that it raised a few eyebrows and expressions of wonderment, to those standing in close proximity, to question whether you are feeling all right?
Well if you don’t or haven’t laughed like that, then you should. If you begin each and every day with laughter than you needn’t worry about anything else for the rest of the day.
Personally, I like to laugh. It always makes me feel like I’m releasing tension from my brain.
Laughter is more or less a habit. To some it comes naturally to others it comes with practice. But what’s to hinder practicing every now and again?
Laugh and live long, laugh and grow well, laugh and succeed. If you are happy, nothing can faze you, because the person who laughs their way through life has absolutely nothing to fear.
Is there magic in laughter? Well you have to admit that laughing does cheer you up. If you find yourself board, and you can’t think of something to do, then just begin to laugh. That will give you something to do. Laughter is synonymous with action, and, most of the time, action dispels trouble and worry.
Real, genuine laughter is spontaneous just like water bubbling forth from a mountain spring. The water is mingled with action and spontaneity, which is also the very nature of laughter. It is an unrestrained emotion that is inside each and every one of us.
Next time you are out and about observe the average person, on the street, as they walk by. Most of the time they are plodding along with no spring, no pep, no vitality. What that person needs is energy. Energy is a powerful force that prompts people into action.
So if you are not in the habit of laughing, get into the habit. Never miss a chance to laugh out loud. If you don’t want to laugh, then smile. Smiling is better then nothing, and a small chuckle is better still. But neither can be compared to out and out laughter. That is the real thing.
Now go ahead, give it a try. What are you waiting for? Today is the day to begin – right now, this very minute. Unless you make a real effort, chances are you will over think the task and it will never get done.
And another thing I can tell you – something that I know to be true. Once you start the habit of laughter, you’ll have a hard time going back to the way it was before or the way it used to be. Laughter is a hard habit to break.
If you laugh out loud and you laugh long, then you are well on your way to happiness. So go ahead, have a laugh on me. You have to start sometime.
